Droid Prime = Verizon

Nexus Prime = Everyone Else

I agree with this 100% :D

When the Nexus One came out Verizon had their "own version" the Droid Incredible.

This Nexus will be no different.

Verizon = Droid Prime

Everyone else = Nexus Prime

Not sure where people keep getting Droid Prime from. Every leak that's come out so far points to "Samsung Galaxy Nexus" far from the Droid title that most Motorola phones receive. I can't recall seeing the title, Droid Prime ever come up...just something that people kind of made up in speculation of it coming to Verizon. We know it's coming to Verizon already, bloat free with no skins which is deserving of the Nexus naming scheme. Prime is also a code word of sorts....not the actual launch name. We won't know till the official announcement, but Droid Prime will most likely NOT be the name of the device.

Has there been anything official on the unpack changed to Oct. 27th? Or is that a guess because it's a prime number?

I just read that date tossed around a few times, I have absolutely no idea about the validity. Apparently the rumor about the 27th in London was dismissed, however. According to tweets anyway. Who knows? *shrug*

Probably hear something soon. Either way, it seems all those "in the know" say it has no effect on the launch, only the announcement.

No worries, I can wait.

Im not a math whiz but 27 is not a prime number....

Prime number theory huh? Ok, well then the possible days of the month are:

2 3 5 7 11 13 17 19 23 29 31

If they want to stick with a Tuesday, then the earliest possible day would be November 29th. Although I don't know if they would delay that much to stick to a gimmick like that with such a huge release.

i thought it was already established that it would be called the "Samsing Droid Galaxy EVO S LTE Bionic Touch Slider Pro" (or something like that)

there will be two phones. the i9250 just went through the fcc with ATT and Tmo freqs. no LTE

Anybody else find it funny that people are calling phone specs for Verizon's model underwhelming, and yet get very excited over specs for a phone that wouldn't be out for another 3-4 months. If folks haven't figured it out by now, you should realize that we are in the era of PC-style silicone refresh cycles. In other words, by the time you're done salivating over something that is going to be released 4 months from now, something else will leak that is due to be out in another 4 months that will blow the other one away.

Hrm....very interesting.

Any guesses on what the GT-I9250 might actually be?

A Nexus without the Nexus name?

A better version of the Nexus with an Exynos 1.5ghz cpu?

What could it be other than another version of our beloved Verizon Prime?
