I'm guessing its either the day of jobs funeral or Google wanted their own shindig to show off the prime and ice cream sandwich. Maybe a little bit of both.
Also I think while thisismynext are slightly more biased toward apple they really see the strengths of android. And give fair reviews.
Engadget not so much, Tim Stevens and the other guy from Engadget were at the Apple event and both spoke about how they were using their Android handsets.
both sites spam whenever it's iphone-related, whereas android will get 2 posts max for a product release of equal importance. theres too many other good sites to give them the extra traffic
