Hmm, I think you guys are missing the news here. Someone high up at Samsung called this the Nexus Prime. Not the Galaxy Nexus.

Not that this means anything (this is pure speculation on my part), but I predict the Nexus Prime will be announced on about Tuesday 10/25 and released on about Thursday 10/27 or Thursday 11/3. (I think the postponed 10/11 announcement did not delay the planned release for the device, and with Apple having a memorial event for Steve Jobs next week, I'd be surprised if the announcement and/or release are next week.)

No offense but anyone following this phone knows that it HAS to be announced in the next 1 to 2 weeks because it is being released at the end of Oct or beginning of Nov. The information in the link is neither new nor more informative.

its a very subjective comment made by someone that really provides nothing. Sorry to rain on your parade.
What's the point of this thread??

Engadget is saying the announcement is rescheduled for Oct 19th in Hong Kong. (which may be the 18th here in the states)

Samsung and Google's Ice Cream Sandwich / Nexus Prime event back on for the 19th? -- Engadget

Droid Life is now saying the 18th (US time).

There is an event hosted by All Things Digital featuring Andy Rubinon the 19th in HK. Apparently it was at an All Things Digital event last year where Honeycomb and the Xoom were announced - so it makes sense. Plus they say they have a "source" that's claiming this is where the Prime will launch.

Well, if the Nov 3rd date is right and they don't want to push a product launch for Jobs, then they don't have much time - or many options. Anyway, the 18th (US time) is way sooner than I thought, so I'm happy.

Woot! Timezone there suits me much better (I am in Melbourne, Australia)

Not to mention Larry Page was already a guest speaker at AsiaD.

Might as well try thinking that you'll get it tomorrow. Then you may find that you already have it.

Well I'm trusting this quote here.
"The Nexus Prime is awesome, and will be released this year." ~ Some Random Dude
    "Sooner than you think"

This is obviously referring to the Oklahoma Sooners next home game Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, 7:00 PM CT "Prime Time" on ABC. The Halftime Show brought to you by Samsung and Google. Stay Tuned!
