The launch is imminent...within a few weeks we will all have the GN.

What is the first thing you plan on doing with it out of the box? (Activation/set up jokes aside)

and yes as someone said above.. making a phone call to check out my signal strength and quality of the call (speakers, mic etc) will be one of the first things I do.

I think there was already a thread about this. I seem to recall putting something like "figuring out how to keep the salesman's fingers off my Nexus."

I like how the permalink for this thread (the URL) is "first-thing-im-doing-my-nexus". Doing a Nexus? That's a bit harsh.

Getting a screen protector on it (probably going to have the CSR at Verizon do it for me, I have a bad time putting them on myself), then playing around with ICS for the next several weeks lol

My bad...I guess I should have made a thread about Gorilla Glass or the LED notification light. I'll never try again, ok?

Take a few stills and some video, then really get to know ICS. Good times.

Probably try out the GPS on a familiar route too, and see how it does.

Take it to a bar, buy it a drink. Then troll for chicks with iPhones.

I see face unlock as a huge bar trick/pickup accessory.

I will probably come up with some nasty phrase to explain what NFC means while I am at it.
