I think Google eliminated the contact syncing feature in Gingerbread. I'm not surprised it isn't here.

for those that just want FB pics for their contacts (not worried about the contact info) there is an app in the market called syncmypix that will al least be able to pull FB contact photos for you (assuming said person is already a contact in your phone). havent tested it yet, but it should be compatible on ICS

If you uninstall the app after the sync, will the pics go away?

Facebook doesn't work because Facebook doesn't use the contacts API. It won't work until they use it.

Correction:

When Google came out with Gingerbread and the Nexus S, they forced Facebook to use the API CORRECTLY. That meant no more one way syncing, and no more linked contacts.

I already uninstalled it. The pictures stay.

syncmypix can be updated whenever you want.
you can set it to update it daily, weekly, etc.
I have it set to weekly on my incredible.

Is there anything that will sync phone numbers AND pictures? Friendcaster did pics, FSync did pics and status updates etc but put random numbers instead of the phone number. Just curious. I knew this was a problem going in, just hoped there would be a solution based on the Nexus S by now.
