No audio on certain outgoing phone calls?

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue. In addition to the already widespread "no bars of service issue", I've found that at times when I dial certain contacts, I can not hear my phone ringing them, I can't hear them when they pick up, and yet on the receiving end they heard the call, picked up the phone, and heard nothing but static and muffled sounds.

They can call me back right after just fine, and my phone rings, and we can hear eachother.

I'm unlocked and rooted, and just installed Google wallet. So far, it's happened to two contacts, both of whom were on AT&T. Not sure if that's of any significance.
