Google Wallet 1.1-R67-v4 (June 6th update)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/47300967/google-wallet-1.1-r67-v4.apk

EDIT: Lot of stock 4.0.2 users saying the new version will not install. I have no clue why.. but if you need the previous version I'm including it here as well: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47300967/google.wallet-1.1r57v5.apk

For best results: If already installed, do not update. Go to your Wallet app info (Settings > Apps > Wallet), Clear data and cache, then hit Uninstall. Then install fresh from this apk, let it initialize and get set up.

Remember to NEVER restore Wallet or data to it, rooted/ROM users. It must be installed fresh and be allowed to initialize your device or you will be borked.

Note Root users... for some undetermined reason Wallet is now asking for SU access on startup. I allowed it, seems fine, so I say just let it through and don't stress it, lol.

I am not responsible for anything you do.

Have a nice day!
:)

EDIT: Changelog:
What's in this version:
* Support for HTC Evo
* Improved address handling in Prepaid topup
June 6th:
* Support for new device form factors
* Prepaid topup improvements

If your old version still works then you don't HAVE to update it... in the past, its been the case where older versions have stopped working so keeping it up to date became a good idea, lol.

Another note: Have done some more reading into the Root issue.. No its not a hacked app... its official. Going theory is that something about the way it checks to see if you are rooted is now triggering the SU request popup. From what I'm reading, people are having no issues whether they deny or allow it SU access.. so if you are skittish or weirded out by it I believe you can deny it and be fine.

Any real reason to do this upgrade? I used mine this morning at two places and it worked fine. That's all I really care about. What's changed? Thanks.

Re: Google Wallet 1.1-R63-v12 (May 16th update)

-support for htc evo
-improved address handling in prepaid topup

not worth it if yours is working fine.

Re: Google Wallet 1.1-R63-v12 (May 16th update)

Edited OP to answer your question and with a little more info, looking into that root thingy :)

Re: Google Wallet 1.1-R63-v12 (May 16th update)

I denied su access the first time I installed and it instantly showed the yellow bar at the top saying unsupported device. The menu didn't even have the Payment cards & Reward cards in the list only Offers & Transactions. I uninstalled it(cleared cache and data) then installed again allowing su access and now it works.

Oh interesting haven't seen that mentioned before... Idk, I just gave it root access and no issues here..

I hope this is something to deal with rooted devices so it can be secure enough so they don't have to block rooted users.

Yeah Idk probably just some check to cover themselves.

On another note I just tested out revoking root access now that it's installed and it still launched fine, cards and balance display as they should. I don't use wallet much myself anyways, but maybe I'll try to test it in action later today and see if it makes a difference not giving it root.

I updated through the play store version and it removed my google payment card. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and its working.

Re: Google Wallet 1.1-R63-v12 (May 16th update)

Is this for 4.0.4 only? I get "application not installed" when i try to install the apk. I had google wallet way back when. Had no problems. Updated with the last update maybe a few weeks ago and stopped working. Uninstalled per directions up top but get application not installed after it tries to install.

Im still running 4.0.2 not rooted.

The "unsupported device" bar on rooted devices is a disclaimer. Nothing more. It's been that way since at least March.

Google Wallet No Longer Supports Rooted Phones

100% correct.

That's odd.. No reason I know of that it shouldn't work. Maybe try redownloading.. Or reboot between clearing out the old one and installing the new one..?

It is alot more than just a Disclaimer because if it shows up you can not use it for NFC functions at all. I have been using Google Wallet on my rooted device for months it just needed a "fix" to be flashed after a fresh install. This current version is working on my rooted device and it knows I am rooted with no "fix".

Hold on, do i need a specific program to install apk's? I just clicked the file and pressed install..

No nothing special... Oh under settings > security settings make sure you have checked to install apps from unknown sources..

Same results here on 4.0.2 not rooted.

I promise you I've used it plenty of times rooted with the disclaimer at the top without a hitch. That said, it's not there with this new version, so sweet:D

EDIT: Just moved it back to my home screen, opened it again, and I have the disclaimer again. No matter, just saying.

Re: Google Wallet 1.1-R63-v12 (May 16th update)

I get application not installed as well. Stock GN (I want to get around to rooting/unlocking, but way too much reading material to go through as a first time androider), never had wallet installed
