Touch this.

Once it opens clear data and force stop it. Hit home/settings/about phone/check for updates.
May take a few tries.

NO MORE LAG!!!,,, ASU has improved.. everything is smooth now.. especially opening the app drawer. Browser is more fluid.. faster switching to cdma to LTE... camera seems a tad slow compared to 4.0.2. so far so good, Amen!

good luck everyone:)

Do you lose any actual (useful) data when you do the Clear Data step?

Nada. Tried several times. I am dubious about this actually working.

Tried about 12 times, multiple configurations, nothing.

There doesn't seem to be anything missing. Upon checking, the file regenerates, so I'm assuming it's just for checking updates. Play Store still has my accounts, etc.

It doesn't look like I lost any useful data by doing it. It even still remembers the user id's and passwords on my apps.

I'm getting a much better radio signal; one or two extra bars.
