I had a Bionic which I purchased from vzw, bought a gnex off CL and my insurance transferred over. You won't be able to take it in to Verizon if anything is wrong with it though, you'll have to file a claim with asurion and pay the $$$. It sucks but hopefully the phone u purchase won't have any major problems
