will the Verizon Galaxy Nexus ever get JB?

So if next month comes and goes and we Nexus owners on Verizon still don't have the update or any word on it could it be Verizon has just giving up on this phone? Is there a possibility that JB won't come to this phone officially?

Yes. It's currently testing.

It's been testing since mid July. The 4.0.4 update was I think testing approximately 2 months before being approved. There is no reason to believe this update will be any different. In the grand scheme of things getting your OTA 2 months after it hits AOSP is still pretty darn good, and WAY faster than you will see any other Verizon phone be updated.
