Trying that now

Same results.

Renamed SecEmail and SecExchange file correctly
Powered down
Rebooted into recovery
wiped cache
booted up and nothing installed
went into system/app and tried to install the SecEmail.apk file and it fails to install.
did you change back the SecEmail.odex and SecExchange .odex back aswell?

Worked great DroidXcon! Thanks for all the help.

One last issue I'm trying to clean up. I show a listing in my Application Manager that says "Error" with 0.00kb. Is there a way to clear that out of there?

Thanks again for all the help!

this this and it didn't work. Strange because it's easy and straight forward.

followed this to the tee. No email widget. checked the file and the icon changed. I tried to install and it said failed.

Decided maybe I'll just stick with the icon and the other secemail.apk files are gone. I did not delete them, I just renamed them and took the "k" and "x" off of the files (respectively)..

only potential thing I didn't get was "switch over to read write mode. did you mean edit the file and change its properties for use to read/write ? (which it is my default)

got it working. I just deleted the new email files from their data folder and re-downloaded and ran them from the sd card. installed fine, re-added my corp account, widget was present!
