Note 2 (Verizon) Media Plyer Message

I recently received a new Samsung Note 2 and ever since I got it every time I receive a new text message I am getting a pop-up that says:
Media plyer error: Set data source failed Status 0800000......

My messages seem to be arriving fine so I am wondering
why am I getting this message and how do I get it to stop popping up and fix it?

Any help is appreciated. I tried googling it and couldn't find any answers.

Is this happening with regular text messages or MMS?
