Noob question

This is my first android phone so if this question is in the wrong spot I apologize in advance. I was looking in the settings and I want to know why or what the developer options do? Thanks for the info. Oh this phone rocks

Those settings are only of interest to you if you develop android apps.

They allow you to debug your apps on a real device, not only an emulator; install 'unsigned' apps on your phone, keep thee screen 'online', etc...

Unless you want to root your phone unlock the bootloader or make android apps dont worry about that section
