Does Best Buy require you to keep a line open for a certain amount of time before paying etf? Meaning if I wanted to open a new line to purchase a Note 2 would I incur a penalty if I closed that line after switching numbers?

Yes. You would either pay the ETF or the $10 extra per month which actually ends out being around $17 with taxes and fees.

Only the standard Verizon $350 etf applies. Best buy does not have a secondary $400 etf for account changes within 181 days like amazon and some others.
