I only use Google location services primarily for weather (BeWeather) location and occasional Google maps info and only enable GPS on an as needed basis (ex. Navigation or need more specific map info), but always turn it off when done (I don't want it running based on some apps needs, only my own). Never used Verizon location services; not sure exactly what purpose it serves as Google location has always done the job (may be it's for Verizon specific apps?).

I use both Google and Verizon but not sure why I have Verizon turned on. I leave the stand alone GPS off since my car has a built in navigation unit.

I just have Google. I didn't see a reason to have Verizon services on. Gps, I only turn it on when using navigation. Maps or other apps work fine with Google services. Not as accurate as gps, but good enough for me

I agree with mostly everyone above. The Verizon location service is useless. Especially if you're smart enough NOT to use VZ Navigator(which will get you lost)

Some people think free isn't as good as paid for. On top of that you have some people that have probably been paying for Navigator for the last 5 years without realizing it.
