HTC isn't bad. My rhyme came in handy today. I was cold so I just started subway surfers, put it in my lap, and then I was warm . Nah HTC isn't that bad... The Rhyme is. But it's all personal choice.

I love my note 2. I wish the battery was better but I love the S Pen and the larger screen. I can't wait to see what the note 3 offers.

You must be doing some hardcore stuff or live in a bad signal area to get your battery to run down fast. I can play games all day and still get 7 hours of on screen time.

To answer the OP, I thought I might regret it since I bought it after the S4 was announced. I was originally planning on waiting for the S4 to come out. What I've found is the screen size and battery are awesome. I don't think I'll ever be able to downgrade in either of those areas so I'll have to get the note 3 (or 4) as my next phone after this one.

I've had my Note 2 since January and I'm not even close to being bored with it yet. I was dead set on getting a Nexus 4, but because they were constantly out of stock, I had to shop around. Ended up playing with a Note 2 at a Verizon store one night and I was sold!

The waterproof aspect hurt the display on the Sony . If you're going to go off the beaten path I would look at the LG Optimus pro

Why the LG? I can read all about it but I'd rather have the views here.

with the HTC One and the 1080P S4 coming?
It isn't enough. I am content with the note 2. That is rare for me. I usually upgrade to the next thing always. The note 3 will be a nice refresh, but I don't think I am moving from this device for at least a year or so. It just fills the gaps where most other phones have failed for me

Just spent my first "normal" day at work with the phone having picked it up on Friday. Took it off the charger at ~ 0600 and with at least six hours playing music, checking various e-mail accounts, texting, and light browsing have only used 29% battery. Granted I don't have many apps running given the phone is new, and have good 4G coverage during the average day.
