So... I finally ordered my Galaxy Note 2 through Costco. Debated for a long time between the S4 and Note 2 but I missed my beloved stylus from the Treo days. I'm planning to buy a 32 GB MicroSD card and I'm wondering if the class actually makes any difference.

Has anybody tried both a class 6 and class 10 on the note 2? Can you tell the difference? I have a 16 GB class 6 laying around somewhere so I'm debating whether I should just use it or buy a class 10.

of course class 10 is best. but most of time you can not sense the different between them.

Instead of the 32GB card.... I urge you to buy the Sandisk 64GB MicroSDXC card.
It's around $50. You will not regret having the extra capacity.

($50 right now... I bought it when it was on sale for $39)

If 16 GB is enough for you, I wouldn't spend money on a 32. You won't notice a difference between the Class 6 and the Class 10. But, if you need more space then you might as well get the Class 10 and I would personally go big and get the 64 GB card.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll see if the existing MicroSD will do the trick and just upgrade later down the road.

Yep! No difference: Neither one or the other will be reliable on a Galaxie tab 2 10.1 !

After a while, each card i tried became unseen by the tab. Like many of us, this might be poor components in the slot (reader) on this machine. I'm taking it back today. M

Good frugal move. Just transfer data later if required.

You mention that your galaxy note 2 ruined sd cards. Mine has done the same thing with a 32 and a 64 gb card. I lost years of information on the 32 gb card because I hadnt backed it up . The 64 gb card was a brand new samsung and it was ruined within 2 days. The phone doesn't see it neither does the computer. Did you find out a reason for that? I just set up a warranty replacement but if there are others doing this it sounds like there is no point.
