Turn off Alarm

I'm fairly new to smartphones and have had the N2 for several months.

I've recently been using the alarm in widgets; however, other than change which days and times it goes off, I can't seem to turn off the alarm at all. I've tried the small icon on the top left, which has an alarm and a back button (which only takes me back to the page where the alarm was on), and I've tried clicking on the bottom left, just left of home, which does nothing. Clicking on cancel does nothing.

Is there any way to simply turn off the alarm until I wish to reset it?

You should be able to tap on the green clock icon to turn if off. It will turn black when it is off.

Unbelievable. That was it! I think I tried everything but that; it was just too obvious.
