Music stutters every 10 minutes exactly. What's causing it?

I have a Note 2 and an LG Bluetooth headset. Since the last system update (and not before), my music player (doesn't matter if it is stock Samsung or Google Play Music) stutters with perfect regularity every 10 minutes. Mostly an annoyance, but sometimes I'm really enjoying a song and it sto-o-o-o-o-ops being enjoyable. The stutter lasts about 3 seconds and all is well for exactly ten minutes. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I could do a system reset but it's a real PITA. I thought I would see if anyone out there has an answer.

I'm curious too. Same thing happens to me, although I haven't timed the occurrences. I think it happened when I had my corded headphones connected but it definitely happens when using Bluetooth headphones at the gym. It happens whether I connect to the wireless internet or not. Mobile data turned off. ???

Does it matter if your music is on the internal memory or the SD card?
Does it happen if you stream music?

Ah man! I didn't need another OCD issue. My note 2 stutters every 10 minutes as well. I listened to an audio book for 8 hours uninterrupted... except for a stutter every 10 freakin minutes. This is gonna annoy the crap out of me.

I was using audible. My music stutters as well, but I haven't timed that.

Last night I tried Airplane mode, turning off sync, turning off GPS... still had the 10 minute stutter.

My music is on an SD card. I can't remember if it did it before the SD card. I think it did but I wasn't using it quite as much then. I don't stream music but I might experiment with that.

It's doing (or trying) some kind of contact with the mother ship every 10 seconds. Hopefully there's a fix.

Well, I'm glad it's not just me, but this is a real issue with either the operating system or one or more apps. I even did a system reset and things did not change.
