sch-i605 stuck at Get PIT for mapping trying to flash STOCK 4.4.2

so my problem started a while back, weird display issues, boot lops or hung at samsung logo, so i downloaded a ROM for sammobile (4.4.2)and odin 3.10.7 and tried to flash.

first time it failed

second and all subsequent times it has stuck at Get PIT for mapping..

I have left it overnight in all cases to make sure since I know that unplugging it mid flash can be detrimental to the device.


So now that I'm stuck at Get PIT for mapping, what do I do next?
where can I find a PIT file?
do I use the RE-PARTITION button or something
I'm almost resolved that the motherboatd is bad and I don't know if I'll replace it but it was my favorite device so it will be tough to let go!
that's why i want to fix it.
