Un-rooting if I haven't flashed a ROM or Kernel

Hi everyone. I've tried searching and I can't find what I'm looking for.

So I rooted my phone (S3) and that's about it. No new ROM or Kernel etc... It was performing slowly and I thought it would help. It didn't. I took it back to verizon and they issued me a new phone and it works great. Now I have to send the old one back. But it's rooted.

1. Can I send it back rooted?
2. If not, how do I un-root it? If I didn't install a new rom, can I just do a hard reset?

Thanks in advance,
Seth

Rooting voids the warranty, they can deny you a new phone especially if you are returning it because the phone is having problems. Since you already have the new phone, what they would do is bill you full retail price of the new phone they just sent you.
