Phone stuck after samsung logo

So I just recently went to flash a new ROM (PA 4.4) onto my phone which was on CarbonRom 4.4. I went into recovery TWRP 2.7.1 and after I successfully flashed the PA ROM the phone rebooted and showed the quick Samsung logo for a second then nothing, just black screen. I cannot get into Recovery mode now either.

I have since gotten into ODIN mode and flashed stock4.2.1 rerooted/unlocked bootloader again/flashed TWRP 2.8.3 and attempted it again with the same results. Any help as to what I can do to be able to flash a new ROM and not be stuck on stock now?

If you saw the previous version of this response, ignore it. You can't flash a custom recovery to Samsung AT&T or Verizon phones from 4.3 on. Flashing TWRP is what causes the problem. Look on the Verizon S3 section of XDA Forums to see if there's a Safestrap for the Verizon S3.

Interesting, yeah before today I never loaded any stock 4.3 onto my phone. How do these Safestraps work?
