Picture Messaging Problem

I took some pictures on the SGSIII and wanted to send them in a message to my wife. The info would pop up. "Picture too large. Compressing..." Then it will come up and say "Unable to attach. File not supported." Can someone tell me how to resolve this issue?

This is not going to help you much, but my daughter was having the exact same problem with her Sprint Galaxy S III. The software update they sent out yesterday from Sprint seems to have fixed it so far. But it has only been a few hours. Hopefully there is a known fix that will get pushed through Verizon to you. I will post again if it comes back on her phone.
