Droid Life has an article about a new OS release by Verizon/Samsung for the SIII to 4.1.2. Has keyboard, camera works while on phone, few other items. My phone is not seeing it yet though. About 150MB according to the post.

From the article it sounds like it will most likely be about a week before we see anything:

A new update for Verizon?s version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been approved as build VRBMB1 (Android 4.1.2). The update improves predictive text in the keyboard, allows users to take pictures while on calls, syncs emails better, and enhances Bluetooth. That?s pretty much it, well, other than some added bloatware.

It?s not Android 4.2 The update is 150.3MB in size.

Typically when Verizon approves updates, we see them arrive on devices within a week. The rollout tends to start with a few devices and then rollout to more as the days progress.

I wonder if it removes color since it's been discontinued.

Sent from my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 using TapaTalk 2.

I don't know about you but somehow that's not a priority for me. I would just like to see BT fixed once and for all and I'll be happy...

It's downloaded and rebooted but failed twice for me, still on 4.1.1 for now.
I'm not really concerned this seems like kind of a worthless update. The camera thing is a nice feature I'll use once a year maybe but I'm not really going to get excited until we get photosphere.

Im noticing that it has made FoxFI much more stable and now it is back to holding a solid connection without dropping the phones data connection.
