Change Device Name

On my Samsung Stratosphere, I was able to change the name of my device so that when my BlueAnt headset connects, it would give me a cheery greeting instead of reciting the model number of the phone.

On the Galaxy S3, I have changed the device name in the Bluetooth settings, but the Model Number is still being read. Is there a way to change the name of the device in a deeper menu?

I got a new tablet but when I want to download apps I get- Installed!- showing and my previous device name. I can't change the device on those sites. How do I get Google or whomever, to allow me to download the app on the new device???

Marcia, click the green "Installed" button, it will let you install to additional devices, if the app is compatible with them.
