    My s3 has a data connection but no voice or text? Anyone experience this before?

    I've checked all settings and tried different sim cards. Same thing.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Which is it - no voice or data, or no voice or text?
    Have you completed the setup/activation of the phone?
    Which icons are you seeing up in the Status bar:
    - the 1x/3G/4G icon, indicating that you have a mobile data (plus MMS) connection?
    - the stair-step icon, indicating that you have a cellular (voice/SMS) connection?
    Have you tried contacting Verizon?

    Carrier on phone?
    Carrier on simcard?
    Or is it a cdma device?
    Check apn settings [idk why that would cause an issue]

    If it is a Verizon phone, try calling them.

    Also, go to your mobile network settings and make sure that lte/CDMA is selected.

    It's a Verizon device. It's on lte/cdma. I'm trying to avoid calling VZW. I'm pretty tech savvy and they're just going to have me do the same things I've done them offer a WFG replacement. Which is not what I want to do.

    On Verizon there aren't any options in settings to update PRL or Profile. Just one button for Software Update. My friend's Sprint GSIII has the update option for PRL and profile. But somehow my phone seems to be working ok today at least. Hope the same for OP.
