My friend is actually the second owner of this particular GS3, it has a few scratches and has definately seen better days but is otherwise in working order. I will probably need to buy a new battery for it. I think she paid $200 for it used last year. I want to give her a fair price for it. Any suggestions?

200, replace the battery on batteries dot com then put it on ebay

Edit: check out eBay for a good idea. Most 16gb are going for 150-250. I just grabbed one myself.

I just sold 2 - 32gb internal storage no SD card for $250.00. If they are 16gb internal storage they should be not more than $175.00 but since it is in such bad shape maybe $50.00 to $75.00 max. Infact if it is a 16gb internal I would not touch it. She might find someone to dump it on via Craig's List.

I agree with selling it around 200. 250 or a little more is fair if there are alot of accessories added as well i the sale, (cases, extra batteries, SD cards, etc.)

A new SGS3 is just under $400 now. So you can use that as a guide. I would pay significantly less for a 3rd hand one.
Free, if you upgrade an old phone with Verizon. My Wife just ordered her free SGS3 today.
