I upgraded to the latest ICS leak and it's worked pretty much flawlessly since I did so. I did however run into an issue the other night. In using the stock music player you have the option to update album art using "Gracenote", and to also have this service run automatically for all your music.

I chose to allow auto updating and it changed a bunch of my MP3's to incorrect album art. No biggie, it has an option to change it back. The only problem was it did it to about 20 different albums and 40 different single MP3's. I got most changed back before I got sick of it. I did of course uncheck the box for auto updating the album art as well.

I was extremely upset to find out this morning that Gracenote had once again changed several of my MP3s album art. Some were incorrect some were correct but different than the covers I had, but still, why is this happening?

I have the same problem, but more annoyingly, it's putting in pictures I have in the gallery as the artwork instead. I'd rather just have the green music note that it shows from time to time. But yes, it's aggravating to keep going in and updating the album art when it changes itself anyway.

no idea why it is happening but I would say go and clear the data on the music app and it should rebuild all the art the next time you open it

I assume your pictures and music are on the sd card. Unmount the card, fire up the app. Go clear data, recount the card and reopen the app
