Notifications Stopped Working?

With the update of Twitter on the 12th I found that my twitter notifications stopped working. Then yesterday I discovered that my notifications for the Yahoo email app also stopped working. The facebook notifications are sporadic as well. I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall all three apps and nothing has fixed this. Is there something hidden in my settings that is preventing the notifications from coming through? The only notifications I get are for gmail and Handcent.

not familiar with the apps (except FB) but is there a separate sound setting for them? Which twitter client are you using? I could test it for ya...

Im using the standard twitter app from twitter. I have checked the sound settings. More than missing sounds, the notifications are not even showing up in the message bar.
