I am on the global ruu. My phone holds 4g quite well until I get on a fringe a fringe area. My phone will drop to 3g and have decent to great signal strength. When this happens my phone performs terribly. Seems to stall or at least be ten times slower( almost like 1x) than it ever use to be when this area was 3g only. This has been happening in one particular area where there is good 3g coverage. My question is, is the 3g the same as it use to be or did they change something? Is it because 4g is new here and the kinks are still being worked out?

Did you flash the RUU twice? I'm on the global also and have not seen this issue.

Yes...I flashed twice and even did a reset after. It does fine until it reverts to 3g. If I set it to cdma only it is barely usable.
