Every time my phone finishes charging it opens the stock news app on its own. It's not really an inconvenience or anything, but it is mildly annoying. I've gone through the settings and couldn't find anything to turn it off. Is there anyway to disable this?

The same thing happens to me, but after I unlock my screen. It happened everytime I unlocked my screen for like a week, then out of the blue it stopped.
mine did that before, i just deleted the widget, rebooted and placed it again. that cleared it up for me
hmmm...try to go to accounts and sync in settings and under news, uncheck the sync for news.
if you do need to read news, consider Pulse, imo, it's a much better news reader.
I use Pulse and Express News. Both very good readers, IMHO. I used to like AP, but they just came out with a new format and they are going through some growing pains right now. So I wouldn't recommend this new format right now.
