I've tried blowing are into it but it only helped a little for a few days. My proximity sensor is completely useless right now. Im thinking I need to remove the grate over the ear piece but Im not sure how doable that is. Any suggestions?

I've been planning on trying some compressed air on my proximity sensor, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks, Robrecht

I just did that. Even though I've never had any trouble I figured I might as well make sure there are no dust balls in there. Man that compressed air is strong! I suppose it cleaned out any dust balls, but it also blew air underneath my screen protector! :) Now I have little bubbles speckling my screen protector. Guess I'll change it today. Heck, I even shielded it with my hand -- at least I thought I did. If it ain't broke... :D

Did anyone actually experiancing a problem try this and did it work? I have the app androsensor, and it is showing the value of my proximity sensor as being 3.5in no matter where my hand is. So I prox sensor is useless. I would like to fix this as I constantly put my phone calls on mute or speaker with my cheek.

I'm rooted and rommed with BAMF Forever so I don't think I can bring it into Verizon for the warranty (it's under a year old), so I think I'm on my own here. So if anyone has any helpfull hints I'm all ears.

I've used compressed air before. My screen wouldn't turn off at all when in a call. After blowing it out it has been perfect for the last six months. Worked perfect.

As far as I know, mine is working fine. Androsensor shows it at 3.5 inches. If I place may hand about 1/4 inch from the speaker grill, it jumps to 0 inches.
