I've tried blowing are into it but it only helped a little for a few days. My proximity sensor is completely useless right now. Im thinking I need to remove the grate over the ear piece but Im not sure how doable that is. Any suggestions?
I just did that. Even though I've never had any trouble I figured I might as well make sure there are no dust balls in there. Man that compressed air is strong! I suppose it cleaned out any dust balls, but it also blew air underneath my screen protector! Now I have little bubbles speckling my screen protector. Guess I'll change it today. Heck, I even shielded it with my hand -- at least I thought I did. If it ain't broke...I've been planning on trying some compressed air on my proximity sensor, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Thanks, Robrecht
Did anyone actually experiancing a problem try this and did it work? I have the app androsensor, and it is showing the value of my proximity sensor as being 3.5in no matter where my hand is. So I prox sensor is useless. I would like to fix this as I constantly put my phone calls on mute or speaker with my cheek.
I'm rooted and rommed with BAMF Forever so I don't think I can bring it into Verizon for the warranty (it's under a year old), so I think I'm on my own here. So if anyone has any helpfull hints I'm all ears.
