So noticed this a while ago (maybe like a month or so). When my area first got 4g when I had froyo it was awesome that I could now watch YouTube in hq setting (my wifi is almost as slow as dialup). Here lately when set to hq the stream won't even start. My data connection stays idle. Switch off hq and it works fine. Wifi tether to my laptop and no lag even at 720p. Anyone else have this issue or better yet a solution? I'm on bamf forever 1.0.9 but this has happen on all my roms.

Rebooted and issue still persists. I've noticed same thing if I go on youtubes mobile site too.

On my Razr it takes forever to play a video. I thought I was having connection problems. But I can browse pages and all but YouTube takes forever to play. It takes less time if I unchoose HQ. But it still takes a while. Maybe that update it had messed it up. I know I can't turn off the screen and continue playing videos any more. That was a feature I liked.

I had the same issues. Try using the native YouTube app, that came with for phone and see if that helps.

I've been having this issue. Most videos won't even play. Kinda frustrating.
