gSyncit or My Phone Explorer for syncing with Outlook?

I am desperate to get away from HTC Sync as I am sick and tired of having to call their customer service and hope and pray that I get someone on the phone who knows what they are talking about everytime I get an error mesage (which is all the time now!). I had posted the other day about anyone using My Phone Explorer but have also heard about gSyncIt being good and would like to hear back from anyone who has used both and what they think.

Here are my needs from a sync program:

1) Be able to seamlessly sync my Outlook on my PC to my calendar on my Droid (and vice cersa, since many of the appts I make are on the road and later need to be added to my Outlook on my PC).

2) I used Pocket Informant as a 3rd party calendar tool and have this plugged into my default Droid calendar so there can't be any issues with continuing to use that as my primary calendar.

3) I want to be able to choose the option that allows you to sync the last change made (whether that was on my PC or my device) and I need the program to be able to recognize which one it is!

4) Being able to sync my Outlook contacts is a big plus!

5) While I only need appts/events going back a year to be on my phone, I want my desktop PC Outlook calendar to have events going back years, for posterity's sake and I DO NOT WANT THESE DELETED OR EFFECTED, so that is key, too.

So, given these needs, does anyone have any feedback for me on these two programs (or any others)?

Thanks so much!
Cat

p.s. I have a Google account and email but I would rather not use it for email at all. Currently, I have a POP3 account and all my emails get pushed to my phone in real time, which has worked quite well for me.

You posted this request in another thread and we all gave you suggestions but those didn't either work or satisfied you.

My suggestion is that you UNINSTALL HTC Sync and reboot your PC and then reinstall an OLDER version of HTC Sync that worked before.

The consensus on the other thread was GOOGLE....it is the cleanest, simpliest. Like I said in the other thread, I have used it for over 2 years and have had no issues (other than doubling my contacts until I figured it out).

I actually used gsyncit but it was a trial version. I think it is well worth it. For someone like myself who has multiple calendars gsyncit works well for the reason that of the ability to create separate calendars from within outlook and link those to the individual calendars within goggle. I wanted to use outlooks overlay but using the standard google sync app pushes multiple google calendars to the default outlook calendar, thus having all separate calendars combined into one calendar on outlook

Try touchdown or K9

I have not heard much about these. What is your experience regarding how they compare to Google calendar?

i have been trying to find out what the restricitions are with Google calendar regarding how far back you can go in years, amd how far ahead, but so far, no answers.

Does anyone here have a suggestion on how to save years worth of Outloolk appts/events that you want to hold for posterity's sake?
