causes for data drops?

friday nite i finally rooted my replacement thunderbolt and yesterday i put nusense 7.6 on with mixed radios. i then went out and kept losing my data. i came home and put the .19 radios back on and flashed eternity. today i went out again and started losing my data again. so i came home and was going to unroot and go back to stock, but wanted to try 1 more thing. i put nusense 6.4 on, kept the .19 radios, but i changed to a reg battery with the door that came with the replacement figuring maybe the door for my extended battery is just worn out(i bought it with my original bolt over a year ago). waiting to go out tomorrow to see how it works. i was using 4g in my house for a bit and it seemed ok, but then again i was out for a couple hrs today before i started with data drops. aside from the battery door, does anyone else have any ideas?

I think the post from Synycalwon in the thread below is the cause. His explanation makes a lot of sense based on what I've observed.

Turns out my data drops were caused from the contacts in my extended battery door. I ordered a new one on eBay today. Only $7
