Global?

I was told by a Verizon store rep that the 4G phones will all be global phones. I have a hard time believing that.

My husband is using a BB Tour and I would like to get him on Android but I don't think he'd be happy with the Droid 2.

Does anybody here know anything about how global the Thunderbolt will be? If it is only CDMA then that's not going to work. The countries he visits have no CDMA carriers.

Probably a confusion at the fact LTE/4G phones need SIM cards. Eventually down the line if I am right the claim by the rep would be correct. Anytime soon though, no.
