Does anyone know why when you use headphones the other person can't here you talking but you can here them

Does anyone know why when you use headphones the other person can't here you talking but you can here them

because head phones are missing the microphone so you have the output part but not the input, get a pair of headphones with an inline mic

Im using my iphone headphones with the mic and the other person can't hear withing on my end

same here... using bose mie2i with inline mic... i can here them but i'm muted
