just got our TB's and we have a few questions for you kind souls...

    1. is there a way to get the phone to go landscape when you want it to faster, to type texts?

    2. if you access your gmail/aol/ect. is it always "live" - do we need to log out when we are done? we couldn't find the log out button.

    3. is live wallpaper a battery drainer?

    4. is there a way to wake the phone without using the power button?

    thanks for your patience.

    1. yes you need to grab a 3rd party launcher like adw launcher or launcher pro, sense does not have landscape mode

2.no they are not live, when you hit the home button then go into a suspended state and android will close it out for you when needed

    3. it depends on the designer of the wallpaper the better the code the less the drain, you will need to try them out and test it.

    4. yes there are apps but i dont remember what they are at the moment, if it comes to mind ill let you know

For texts, it should auto rotate in the messaging app.

Try "No Lock" in the Android Market... it will allow you to wake the phone with either the power or volume rocker buttons. It also deactivates the slide to unlock feature. Just tested it for ya!

just flip it on it's side to auto rotate it.

you don't need to log out, it will stay logged it.

    3. is live wallpaper a battery drainer?
it definitely drains more battery then a normal wallpaper.

    4. is there a way to wake the phone without using the power button?
as leehblanc said, try nolock in the market.

Not trying to step on your Advisor toes, but I'm in full-on "help the newbs" mode. I spent the last 2 weeks with an Inspire. It's VERY similar (though inferior to) the Thunderbolt

thanks for all the replies everyone! I love my TB but its overwhelming coming from my Samsung u740.

I didn't want to post a new thread for every question so I put in 5 to start.

I'm kinda paranoid of doing something that I won't be able to undo

Feel free to PM if you have an urgent issue. I'll be tooling around the house and yard all weekend, so I should be able to get back to you in short order. Also, check out he top level of the forums here. There are some great resources about Android that are not specific to the Thunderbolt
