HTC Sense is not responding

I've searched in other TB threads and I don't see anyine posting that they are having this issue. My TB is slow to respond and after performing different functions (IE: stock texting, stock email, Facebook) I get the following message "Application HTC Sense (in process com.htc.launcher) is not responding. After which I hit Foorce Close and it goes to the HTC white screen and back to my home page. I do have Apps installed from the market and I do believe that it is entirely possible that one or more could be causing the problem. However the lag and not responding has been in an issue since the first hour that I had the phone with me and no 3rd party apps have been installed. I also have noticed issues with the volume buttons not responding when I try to use them. I have shut down the phone and restarted it and the problem has not disappeared. Any advice would be great, this is not my first Droid but this is my first time having issues that I do not think I should be having...
