Accounts & Sync Question

I searched for an answer with no luck...

Under Accounts & Sync my Tbolt is showing two facebooks and two twitters.

"Facebook"
"Facebook for HTC Sense"

"Twitter"
"Titter for HTC Sense"

Is it necessary to have both of these? Is it draining 2X the battery by having both running? I dont use friend streem or Peep, I downloaded the official twitter and facebook apps.

New to HTC and Android and any help would be appreciated.

It's not necessary to have both. And yes it's double syncing. I recommending dumping the HTC Facebook and only using the legit Facebook application

How will that effect my contacts? Do both versions of facebook/twitter sync the same stuff?

Yes, they will sync the same thing. If you want Facebook and Twitter syncing with your Google contacts you can use the stand alone apps, they'll do the same thing the HTC Facebook/Twitter(Peep) is doing. If you take Facebook off and turn on contact sync within the Facebook app you shouldn't notice any difference.
