All texts disappear

Help!!!

Every few days my Thunderbolt will delete all my text messages (Using handcent)

This is Infuriating! Is there any way to stop this?

BTW my OG Droid did this to me too...and my pre-root and now rooted (on BAMF 1.5) TBolt is doing the same thing.

this just happened to me the other day on my Bolt, all my text messages vanished as if i deleted them.

This happen to me on my Incredible and it happened on my thunderbolt they are not recoverable as far as I know i just use sms backup (its free) and make sure I back up every 2-3 days so when it happens I have most if not all my messages

have you ensured that, under your Message settings in Handcent or any other Message app you're using, that you are allowing the app to store the Maximum # of messages?

in some message apps, by default, your texts will be deleted after X amount of them are stored in the app. my texts were deleted suddenly--and it was due to this feature being @ the preset (200 texts). i changed it, haven't had a problem since.

Star and add your comments to get Googles attention... This seems to be a problem not dependent on the phone manufacture.
