Will LG G2 get the KitKat update?

I just got my LG G2 and I am loving it! I am wondering if it will get the 4.4 KitKat update or not. Or will it just get the 4.3 update instead?

Welcome to the forums! Great first post. Why didn't any of those devices get upgraded to 4.3 android jellybean?

We might get an upgrade but it will probably be a 24k security patch that will break something. You are right though, I've got bags of popcorn ready to watch!

I'm already on 4.3.1 (AICP ROM) and patiently waiting to see if Google brings anything special to the S800 with kitkat. Getting the IR blaster back will be awesome and the Google now integration/always listening, but the screen needs to be on! I guess I can knock on then say OK Google. Hopefully it works from lock screen.
