Text message sizing

Google keyboard and even the stock keyboard barely gives you enough area to actually see the list of previous messages. The text input box and top recipient name/number bar take up wayyyy too much space. Any tips?

This is kinda funny.
I just posted “Tapping space in texting apps”. Exact opposite problem.
Subscribing to your thread. Maybe we'll both get lucky.

Did you go into settings display and aspect ratio correction and check off all the apps? This did it for me.

This is the LG stock sms app. I can only see like 2 lines of text while I am composing a message. Extremely annoying as my text input area is unnecessarily large and leaving my message area smaller. Not to mention the bar on top that shows the name and number of the person I am sending to.

only suggestion i have is to use another sms app such as hangouts or the like.
