Second day with new phone, love it but alarm clocks won't sound off with Facebook installed

I installed Facebook yesterday and then last night tried to use alarm. It didn't make any noise, just showed the icon ringing. I read that sometimes the Facebook app can cause this. I uninstalled FB and now alarms work.
Question is, is there any way for me to fix this?
BTW I rooted the phone last night also
