I have checked USB debugging under developer options, and each time I restart my phone it unchecks it. Is this normal? Running Kit Kat and I'm rooted.

I'm seriously considering going back to JB. With the auto bright issues, battery drain, and various other issues, this update seems more harmful than good.

it depends what you mean by 'normal'. if you mean 'intended', then no, probably not. if you mean 'commonly occurring for many people', then I have no idea. you and I are the only cases I've heard of so far.

regarding the kk upgrade in general, I had some initial problems, but a factory data reset fixed all of them. there is still a rogue app somewhere destroying my battery life, but killing all open processes fixes it 75% of the time and rebooting fixes the other quarter.
