Charging issues.

Why can i not charge my phone using my car's USB port? I am using the factory charging cable that came with the phone. It tells me to use a compatible cable.

Welcome to Android Central! Car USB ports may not have a charging circuit, since they probably expect you to use the DC power outlet.

Many car ports only supply 500ma, which isn't sufficient to charge the G2.

You need to purchase a car charger that is a minimum of 1.8A (1800mA) to charge the phone. I purchased a rocketfish charger from best buy that is 2A and it charges just as good as my wall charger.
