LG G2 gets hot in pocket

Since "upgrading" to Lollipop, I've had the usual problems with short battery life, but if I put the phone in my breast pocket it gets very hot (100F) and battery life goes down to around 2 hours. If it sits on my desk, it can last 18 hours. This occurs regardless of status of wifi, location services, etc.. Interestingly I used to have a Bionic that would do the exact same thing: overheat and chew up battery ONLY if in my pocket. Any thoughts?
