Says $200 when i got there and the girl on the phone confirmed it when I ordered.

there is only the $350 ETF with Verizon

So you could get a GNote3 by adding a line for $300 (waived activation fee under the promo) then get the $200 prepaid card, so it would be $100. Then cancel the line and pay the $350 ETF so you get a GNote3 for $450.

I think the new line has to be active for a certain period of time though.

You can leave the carrier, but the remaining balance becomes due, which may exceed $800,depending on the phone you get. Of course, if you terminate service then you would have to pay etf, up to $350.

If you are talking about the Edge program, you can walk away from it once you pay at least half the phone off which on the Note was 350.

After activating the phone, you can suspend service without billing for 3 months at a time and a total of 180 days within a 1 year period. The rep I spoke to said that suspending service would not affect the $200 visa prepaid card

Here's my situation. I have 2 Galaxy Nexus that my wife and I use that are grandfathered in on unlimited and aren't upgrade eligible until February. I also have 2 dumbphone flip phones for my parents on my account that are currently eligible for upgrade. We are on Nationwide Talk Share 1400 for our voice plan.

Can I upgrade the 2 dumbphone lines to GNote3s (w/ 2GB plans each), activate them on my parents lines, then reactivate the dumbphones to their lines and then activate the GNote3s to our smartphone lines? Will this Comcast deal get us 2 $200 Visa cards in the process?

Also, would it be beneficial to do Edge with these dumbphone lines and just upgrade every year via those lines to something new and do the same switch as above?

yes you can. and it will not affect your unlimited data at all.

the fine print on the website doesn't say anything about a limit on these per account. I would call and check.

No. Better to transfer your unlimited data upgrades to the basic lines, upgrade on those lines and then do the switcheroo again. There is a thread on the Verizon forum about this process.

Made the call today. Pretty painless via the Comcast-Verizon deal. Turns out it's $200 gift card for first line and $50 for 2nd line. Still much better than anything else out there, IMO. Thanks.

Just got my Note3 from best buy for $61 and change... $199 for upgrade, $100.00 trade on my Gs3 and a $50.00 rebate from when I bought my sons I phone there a couple months ago.. could not beat that deal... some how ended up with a free zagg screen protector too..

yeah, that is the $50 gift card promo they run every year. If you sign up in February, you get $50 gift card when you upgrade thru best buy through the end of the year.

There are different promotions the one where you sign up in February is the reserve gift card offer. There are also offers where you buy select phones and get a gift card, or trade in a phone and get a minimum gift card of $100 (or whatever denomination that they are running at the time.

The reserve gift card promotion can be combined with either the trade in promotion or the iPhone (or other select phone) gift card promotion. Here are some sample previous promotions.

The reserve gift card offer if you signed up this year has been extended until 12/31/2014. If the csr didn't give you the reserve gift card at pos, you can call bb and they can send it to you, and you have 90 days to redeem it. I also took a screen shot of what that email should look like

Thanks all for the help. Got the phone and already rooted this baby and installed Safestrap recovery.

Love this phone and the s-pen is great and didn't think I'd like it that much and with the $200 visa card it only costs $100. What a deal.
