clear cache not working to delete duplicate ringtones

Hi there,

Almost finished setting up my new Note 3 and once again I find I've got duplicate ringtones that I can't seem to clear. I've booted into recovery and cleared the cache in recovery mode at least 3x now. I've turned off the phone, pulled the sd card and the battery multiple times and the duplicates are still displayed. What if I just move the ringtones/notifications etc to the phone off the SD card and then delete them from the SD card? Will that cure this recurring problem? I'm so sick of having to deal with this multiples thing, it's happened way to often. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I don't think clearing the cache will delete your dups. Your probably resigned to using a file manager and deleting manually. Hope there aren't too many.

They're just showing up as duplicates. I've had this problem before and clearing the cache cured the problem.
