Sometimes my fingers my be a little wet when I touch the home button. I clean it with high proof alcohol sometimes if it starts to get sticky feeling. Haven't had ant problems doing this but I would like to be shore im not doing any damage. Thanks.

I make sure my hands are dry before her I handle my phone. I don't want any water or other liquid to get into it and I'm pretty sure the home button because you must depress it, is not 100% liquid proof. I don't see any visible gap between my button and the phone but I can't help thinking that when you push that button down it would be possible for liquid to enter the phone not to mention perhaps other places on the phone that may not be 100% liquid proof.

I wouldn't make a habit of it, but you're fine. Most new phones are pretty water resistant up (down?) to a meter or so.

Search youtube for samsung galaxy note 3 water test and I'm sure you'll fine some brave soul(s) who have dunked it for us. There's probably a few good ones too.
